Advised by Zerbach & Company Corporate Finance GmbH ("Z&C"), the family office PHK Enterprise has acquired a minority stake in MonitorFish GmbH. Alongside FTTF, the financing partner for young high-tech companies of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, PHK Enterprise thereby supports the long-term growth of the company.
MonitorFish was founded in 2019 by Chaitanya Dhumasker and Dominik Ewald and develops cloud-based software for the management of fish farms, software that enables the seamless integration of third-party sensors and, through intelligent alerts, growth analyses and reports delivered via a dedicated app, guides farmers in making data-driven decisions. Together with Fraunhofer IGD, MonitorFish is also bringing an underwater detection system to market that enables precise reading of conditions in turbid waters. This intelligent integration of technology optimises breeding conditions and reduces inconsistencies caused by manual diagnosis.
Following the closing of this financing round and after several successful pilot projects in Germany and Switzerland, MonitorFish is now ready to help fish farms across Europe increase their profitability by at least thirty percent by reducing fish losses and minimising operating costs. MonitorFish will use the capital raised in particular to expand its team and to establish the company as a B2B provider in the market.
